eCycling - Recycle your cellphone and electronics
You old cellphone, computer and electronic devices collecting dust at home can be a real gold mine. Ok maybe not a gold mine but they have many precious metals like copper, iridium. They also have plastic. Recycling plastic is always a good idea.
By recycling your electronics you can firstly live a clutter free life, get more space in your draw and save the environment. You will be saving the precious natural resources and reduce global warming.
recycled cellphones can follow to paths in their afterlife.
- Reuse - They can be donated to a charity organisation (imagine a person who can’t afford food carrying a cellphone)
- Recycle - If the cellphone is dead then all components can be 100% recycled.
According to a study in US recycling cell phones can save enough energy to power more than 2,035 U.S. households for a year. Recycling the 100 million cell phones that are no longer used annually would save enough energy to power more than 18,000 households for a year.
Imagine how much more energy we could produce when we ecycle all our old computers collecting dust in our garages.

Hi Madala
Thanks for tagging our post. We appreciate the publicity. We would just like to add that our first week at the flea markets were resounding success. We received a lot of encouragement from a lot of people, many of which signed up to sell us their old phones. Thank you, we really appreciate everyone’s support.
Unfortunately, haven’t been able to secure the East Rand Traders Market yet as there’s no space available yet.
We are soon going to be launching yet another first in South Africa, an interactive website in which used cellphones can be traded online (www.cellforcashsa.co.za - still under construction). WATCH THIS SPACE.
And lastly we can be contact at a Vox Landline: 087 805-7114 or Cell: 0728975826.

I so much like the idea. Is this a franchise that someone can buy and do the same in another province?
